TOUR TO BOLGATANGA AND SURROUNDINGS

ONE OR TWO DAYS

We go north to Bolga, historically the hub for trade and travelling. In Bolga you

will experience the market, the painted houses and the library designed by an

award-winning African American architect.

Outside Bolga we visit the Picworo slave camp and take a guided tour. The area

is very famous for the production of Bolga baskets, sold worldwide. In a village

where they are produced, the women who make them will introduce you to the

process.

We pass by or stop at several other places of interest, including Paga Crocodile

Pond, Novrongo with the interestingly decorated minor Catholic cathedral

and Sirigo, a scenic village with beautifully painted houses
